As a former special education teacher in an under-resourced school in Los Angeles, Chris experienced firsthand the frustrations students faced when they weren’t taught the financial skills they needed to thrive beyond the classroom. In response, Chris founded a financial literacy club, only to realize how inaccessible most resources were. Determined to bridge this gap, Chris teamed up with former students to create a financial education company that emphasizes culturally responsive and accessible curricula. With a passion for education and equity, Chris leads the company with a vision of empowering students to build fulfilling lives and contribute to their communities with confidence.

A precocious young scholar in an under-resourced school, Ricardo grew frustrated over the lack of practical financial education. Now a college student, Ricardo has brought their experiences and insights from both the classroom and real-world challenges to help shape the company’s vision. Ricardo is passionate about creating curriculum that speaks to the lived realities of students, ensuring that it is accessible, culturally relevant, and designed to help them succeed not only in their careers but also as engaged and responsible members of their communities.
